Happy Friday everybody! I hope you’re all ready to go for this weekend. Whether it be relaxing or pretty jam-packed with activity, it’s going to be a good one. I couldn’t resist the chance for alliteration when one presented itself, so I would like to introduce you to FRS! Actually, I introduced you to them before when I received a sample in my Bulu Box, but this time it’s a much more knowledgeable introduction!
You may have heard of them before from other bloggers, but thanks to FitFluential I was able to review it too! On Tuesday night, I opened my package and couldn’t wait to try all the flavors!
First of all, THANK YOU to FRS for sending me such a variety! It’s awesome to get the chance to be able to try a whole array of products.
So here’s the deal, the FRS Energy line provides you with a more natural and sustained energy boost than other substances like coffee. Theoretically, it won’t give you that sugar crash because it uses body mechanisms for energy, rather than caffeine or crazy sugar. One antioxidant that they proudly use is Quercetin, which is found in foods like blueberries and grapes. Their website says, “All FRS products feature quercetin, a powerful all-natural antioxidant found naturally in many fruits and vegetables. Quercetin has been shown in multiple clinical trials to provide sustained energy, increased endurance, immune system support along with many other health benefits.”
There’s also a Protein and a Healthy Slim line. The protein line uses whey protein isolate dietary fiber to keep you feeling fuller and the healthy slim line helps curb your appetite.
So what did I think?
So they have drinks, powder to add to your water, and both hard and soft chews for the energy. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Wild Berry flavor, but the Cherry Limeade was awesome! I did NOT like the hard chews at all, but that may be because my teeth didn’t like the fact that they were hard. The soft chews were okay! I definitely liked this flavor better than the Pineapple Mango I tried in the Bulu Box. And the powder into water, I’ll have to find somebody else to try!
Orange Cream was a SUPER delight to have! And the Blackberry Acai was quite tasty too, once I got it open. For some reason I had to go at this one with scissors. Go figure!
I’m not really ever focused on dropping the weight, but it’s nice to have a low calorie option available at 20 per serving. And they’re both wonderfully tasty too. I’d definitely grab this as a tasty drink, regardless of whether I want to lose weight or not.
I didn’t feel any crash at all, which is awesome. I didn’t feel a super spike in energy either, which I suppose go hand in hand. I’m so glad that these are tasty drink options, I really did enjoy the tastes! However, I think the amount of chews you need to chew in a day (up to 12 if you’re taking them before activity!) is a bit much for me to keep up with. Also, if you’re plant/whole foods based, you may need a road map for the ingredients list. Not a super huge fan of that.
Overall, I enjoyed this product! I liked how they didn’t try to replace a meal with these drinks a lot. And I dream of orange creamsicles.
Have you ever tried any of the FRS products?
