What can I say? I got gypped on my alliteration yesterday, so I’m making my title this morning super-powered. You’ll be happy to know I slept in until 8:30 today instead of 9:30. Oh my goodness, I’m a party ANIMAL. Well, hello to the post where I tell you three things I’m diggin’ right now, instead of the lame two you would have gotten if yesterday were actually Tuesday.
Oh boy.
1. Tara Stiles
I know this lovely lady had been popping up for a while in reviews around the healthy living blogosphere. Something happened and my brain thought, “MAN, this would be awesome for feeling better in the New Year.” So luckily for me, Santa brought me some DVDs in his sleigh! I tried it for the first time yesterday and it was the first time I’ve ever finished a yoga DVD. It’s true.

My body was definitely feeling it yesterday, and I can’t wait to do it again today. But my computer was closer to my bed. So there.
2. Kris Carr
Okay so here’s the thing: I’m a nerd. I love science. And I love reading books that use science to support a claim. But it doesn’t stop there. I love reading those facts and then analyzing them to figure out if it’s “good” or “bad” science. You know, if people swing interpretations of figures to support their hypothesis. My current victim?

I got this out from the library because I was super intrigued. It’s a lot of girl-power-kickass-sexy sort of writing, but I’m enjoying it so far! And it includes a 21 day adventure cleanse. I DID want to be more adventurous in the new year…so I’m proclaiming here that I will be trying it soon! Ooooh-la-la. Well. I think. I haven’t actually read that part yet. So we’ll see.
3. 2013
That’s fine, I’m not afraid to say it. I’m super digging 2013 so far. Yeah, so what it’s the third day. It is what I’m making it, you know? And I’m really really excited by it. Sure, I’m super lucky to be on a relaxing Poconos vacation to start it off…but I’m SO optimistic about how this year is going to be. It’s going to have A LOT of challenges, both mental and physical. I’m sure spiritually too.
BUT.
I’m going to handle it and be awesome. So yes. Go 2013!

We love 2013! Hooray!
Pick one (or all three!) of these things and tell me how you feel about them! Have you ever tried the 21 day adventure cleanse?

I’ll be honest, I’m usually pretty skeptical about cleanses… It just seems like a whole lot of restricting to me by not eating certain food groups for an extended period of time but hey, it works for some people! The yoga DVD’s really intrigue me, though. I’m googling it now!
Yeah, I’ve never done a cleanse before for that reason. But maybe to reset and go to veggies? I don’t know, I definitely have to read more about it. And yes!! I did it again this morning and loved it. Go yoga.
Digging 2013 on day 3 is WAY ok. Keep that positive energy vibin’ for the whole year, baby! Also, I have the Tara Stiles yoga DVDs and have yet to try them. So need to get on that and am way proud of you for finishing your first yoga DVD. Rockstar status, especially with this alliteration.
Haha thanks. The other ones I’ve tried have just not been my cup of tea, I suppose. Gotta find some good ones! But yes, try them! Maybe it’s her voice. I think we could be friends.
I am all about 2013 too. For some reason I just feel like this is going to be an epic year… personally and professionally. I am embracing it and going to continue to hold on to the motivation I feel! Kris Carr is an amazing woman, very inspirational!
Ah hooray! So awesome to have all this positivity roaming around. And no lie, as I was reading Kris Carr I DEFINITELY could hear your reading it too. Haha, you know what I mean? That must mean you’re right up there on the amazing level.
