Hey dudes and dudettes! I hope this week is going so splendidly for you all! I’m bogged down in school work, as per usual, but I think I’m finally settled into that back-to-class nonsense. I’m also doing some crazy fundraising, not gonna lie. So if you are in the Philadelphia area and really craving Gertrude Hawk chocolate, you know where to find me. I’ll even send some in an envelope to you. I just can’t promise they’ll get there in one piece.
So now that I’ve got you thinking about chocolate, let’s talk about how I’m trying to change my eating habits. It’s not an easy deal! It’s not so much that I’m trying to “eat healthier,” because that’s not specific enough of a goal. Gotta be SMART about that, am I right? But that’s essentially what I’m doing. I’m such a contradiction.
I’m trying really hard to time my eating correctly. My whole life is a series of snacks in between classes and work. I have breakfast and dinner, but I only snack in between. It’s really interesting so far, but I just need to make sure my snacks are substantial!
One thing that is REALLY helping is the #plantPOWER challenge that Kasey and Heather are hosting. It’s cool to see people tweet what they’re powering their days with! And I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t been scouring Kasey’s blog for different ingredients and ideas to invest in. I am now fascinated with iherb.com, I just don’t know what to get!
I also have the Tone It Up plan that I’ve been browsing. I don’t need to lose weight by any means, but I do like the Lean Clean and Green mentality they have for their dinners.
The biggest problem I’m having is not spending a lot of money on totally revamping my pantry. Do you know what I mean? I feel like a lot of things are buy-one-time-and-use-a-lot, but I don’t have mass amounts of money to invest in my pantry right now! I know it’s important, but so is having enough money to live day to day.
SO CONFUSING!
So now you know my musings! Sorry I had nothing mind blowing or exciting to say. But I do hope you have a wonderful day. Does that count?
This counts as new and exciting and/or mindblowing, am I right? (pinterest)
What are your healthy pantry must-haves?
Have you ever ordered from iherb.com? Is it as exciting as I think it is?

Wow your schedule is busier than mine! I can’t imagine waiting until after 8pm for dinner! I eat at like 6pm or all hell breaks loose and it isn’t pretty haha
I haven’t heard of iherb until now. Sounds interesting.
Yes, I struggle with food… glorious food also! <3
My healthy pantry staple is fresh produce… it is very easy to reach to the bowl on the counter and eat THAT … knowing it is good for me and tastes good… vs reaching deep in the cabinet where I try to hide it from me and the kids… opening it… risking having to share (or get caught eating said naughty treat) and feeling shame/guilt.
Interesting how people function so well on different diets. My breakfast today (and most days) was not eaten until about 2PM. I just don’t like eating in the morning, and I run better off of less food in my stomach.
